five more questions (and my answers)

I'm happy to see that ~christina is making their Five Questions a monthly (I think?) thing. Here's this period's:

What do you value most in a friendship?

I think I'm going to say honesty. And by *honesty* I mean

What’s your favourite thing to cook? Do you have a signature thing you’re known for making?

I cook most of the time at home, so I like cooking pretty much everything. This morning I made eggs and was happy to know that I've still got the chops for making those.

I just asked my wife about a signature thing I make and she said "bread," so I guess that's it :) Of course, that's probably why I'm the admin of breadpunk.club.

What was a neat toy from your childhood?

I had this wooden duck thing that you could push and it had leather feet that would slap the ground as you rolled it. That was pretty cool.

Close your eyes for a moment and imagine yourself being anywhere. Where are you? Tell me about the place, and why you see it.

[I just want to preface this with saying that I'm putting off doing this for a bit, and I'm not sure why. Maybe I don't super feel like being with my thoughts right now? hmmmmmm.]

I'm in my office still, listening to the sounds out of my window. There's a bird chirping and bugs doing their buggy thing.. I'm trying to tell myself I'm just being present but I don't know.

For what it's worth I also flipped to my parent's yard and some snowy place that I imagine when I read the end of *A Wizard of Earthsea* and also a dream I had where the mountain near my childhood home erupted as a volcano. So.

Tell me about a time when you made a distinct ( drastic?) change to your appearance. Why?

I shaved my head about two weeks into quarantine with Covid-19. It's kind of just now out to where it would've been had I kept cutting it regularly (1-inch/2.54-cm). I'm not sure how long I'll let it get before cutting it again or if I'll go to a hairdresser or not.
