Now we're going to discuss

the way the mind can fly
over a place it’s only seen from far away
can taste the salt
in the harbor underneath each boat’s
flank as they paw and whinny to run
across the grasslands
can mourn the dandelions trampled underfoot
a stampede from a storm
can encompass the clouds the light-
ning all of it wind in itself turn
it into a mosquito just outside
the ear and find a hand
to usher it inside to become
the insect high above the
grass blowing in the wind like surf
beating against the bellies of boats
under the great cliffs where they sit
on the grass blowing in the wind
